Third Party Crossings

Know Before You Cross

If your project involves crossing over, under, or near Yellowhead Gas Co-op’s natural gas infrastructure, you must obtain written approval before any work begins. This includes open trench crossings, directional drilling, roadwork, and utility installations.

Unauthorized crossings may result in work stoppages, fines, or damage to critical infrastructure, putting public safety and your project at risk.

Protecting the natural gas system protects your team, your timeline, and your bottom line.

When A Crossing Agreement Is Required

You must submit a Third Party Crossing Request anytime your project involves working across, along, or within proximity of Yellowhead Gas Co-op’s pipeline right-of-way. This ensures that construction activities don’t interfere with the safe operation of our natural gas infrastructure.

Important: You must receive formal, written approval before proceeding with any activity near Yellowhead infrastructure. Verbal permissions, pending applications, or unsubmitted forms do not constitute approval.
