What Constitutes a Safety Emergency?
- Leaking/escaping natural gas
- Smell of rotten eggs (sulphur)
- Hissing sound
- Bubbling on piping or ground nearby
- Noticeable vegetation ground cover looking dried out or dead
- A perceived threat of carbon monoxide present in the nearby air
- Anything natural gas related that may be deemed a potential hazard
When Should it be Reported?
- Immediately – regardless of certainty
- Please report to Yellowhead Gas Co-op or 9-1-1
